Explanation: Layers 5 through 2 of Yarimburgaz Cave are dated to the Neolithic and Chalcolithic while layers 6 and 7 are dated towards the end of the Late Paleolithic. It would be better to think of layers 6 and 7 as being in the Mesolithic with regards to 14C dates.
