Explanation: The earliest layer of Aphrodisias, which dates back to the Late Neolithic Age was uncovered during the Pekmez Höyük excavations. At this mound, the Late Neolithic Age layer is followed by a 4-phase layer of the Late Chalcolithic Age, and the 14C specimens are from the first phase of the Late Chalcolithic Age. The EBA layers of Aphrodisias were identified during the excavations at Pekmez Höyük, Akropol Tepesi and Kuskalesi while the MBA layers were uncovered only in the acropolis. The 14C specimens of EBA are from the trench 3 and 4 at Akropol Tepesi. The 14C samples published by Joukowsky do not match the samples published in Radiocarbon magazines. The complexes IV in the trench 3 and 4 are earlier than the complexes II. And, the complex C in the trench 5 is much more earlier than the other complexes of this period.
