Explanation: The Çayönü settlement is being investigated within a framework of three identified periods. The first period includes Aceramic Neolithic, the second Ceramic Neolithic in addition to Chalcolithic and EBA I, and the third EBA II-III, second millennium BC, the Iron Age, and the Middle Ages. The stratigraphy of Aceramic Neolithic period is as follows: Round Buildings (Huts) Sub-phase: g (1-4) PPNA; Grill-planned Buildings Sub-phase: Early period g (1-4) PPNA, late period g (5-6) EPPNB?; Channeled Buildings Sub-phase: ch (1-4) EPPNB; Cobble-paved Buildings Sub-phase: cp (1-3) MPPNB?; Cell-planned Buildings Sub-phase: c1-3a-b LPPNB; Large Roomed Structures Sub-phase: lr 1-6 PPNC?. The margin of error was given in some publications as follows: ±40 for specimens GrN-10359 and GrN-16462, and ±50 for specimen GrN-13547.
