It is a semi-active sinkhole; and it was found by DEUMAK in 2000 during the explorations called "Yörük". The main exploration area; Bolkar Mountains; is completely formed within the fractured and jointed Miocene limestones. The most common fossil groups in the region are Gastropods and Shells.
