Location: Turunc is accessible both from sea and land from Marmaris. The cave can be reached after a 45 minute walk from the Turunc Village. |
Structural Properties and formation : It was formed within the Cretaceous aged plated hornstein limestones over a pronounced fracture in the east-west direction. The presence of hornstein prevented the formation of travertines. The bottom is covered with rock blocks collapsed from ceiling and walls. Located pretty higher than the sea level; it is dry in all seasons. |
Research History: It was explored by MTA in 1984. |
