Çetince Cave is situated 3 km northeast of Görmeli Village 18 km southeast of Ermenek. The cave is accessed through Ermenek-Gülnar Motorway and it is at the entrance of the canyon where Ermenek Dam was built. It was horizontally formed within cretaceous-jurassic limestones and fossilized. It contains many beautiful formations which reach 7 m of height. Çetince was visited and mapped by MTA in 2007. Besides the bats no animals were encountered [Nazik-Törk 2007]. |
