This settlement and castle constitute a site that bears cultural heritage from Chalcolithic to Ottoman Eras. The municipality of Silifke is currently constructing a café/restaurant that occupies almost the entire east section of the castle. Very soon there will be a new and second outer wall surrounding the castle.
