Geography and Environment: Since there are a lot of church remains around Madensehri Village, the churches in the region are called Binbirkilise and the structures are named with numbers.
Research and Excavation: It was surveyed by W.M. Ramsay-G.L. Bell and C. Holzmann.
Description: Architectural Features: The church is with three naves and in basilica plan. The structure is collapsed down to the floor level. The double arched opening on the outside provides a passage to the naos with three naves. The naos is also entered through the single door at the center of the narthex. The naves are separated by five pillars. The apse is in the form of horseshoe on both inside and outside and four windows brighten up the apse. Only the pillars on the south section are intact and the ones on the north are completely vanished. Some remains near the church; the edge of a well on the north, doorjambs, lintels decorated with cross reliefs and four separate doors indicate that this structure belong to a monastery [Eyice 1971b:36-37].
