A Byzantine settlement was found about 500 m northeast of Andikkaya in Ulastepe Mevkii in Ezine District of Çanakkale Province. High density of roof tiles and pottery sherds found during the survey conducted between 2012-2013 show that the settlement is dated to Early Byzantine Period. The settlement contains a church with three naves on a terrace. The walls of church were built with rubble stones and it has three apses. It measures 13.10 m in length and about 8.50 m in width. The use of marble material in the church shows that it was carefully structured. Rock-cut tombs in the east of the apse have recently been robbed [Böhlendorf-Arslan 2015:114].
