It lies on the right of the Eskisehir-Seyitgazi Highway; 14 km south of Eskisehir Province. It was discovered in 1993 during the survey conducted in Kütahya; Bilecik and Eskisehir provinces by T. Efe. It measures 94 m in diameter and 4 m in height. Since it is covered by weeds; the amount of pottery recovered is very limited. The finds expose the presence of an EBA settlement as well as materials dating from the second millennium BC and the Classical Period. The site was revisited by T. Sivas and H. Sivas during 2003 season survey. Wall remains of a building and 1.5 m high mudbrick wall remains were observed at the illicit digging pits on top hill and northern slope. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
