It is situated 8 km southeast of Elazig. It was founded on an area of ca. 150x150x8 m in dimensions. Sherds dating to the Early Iron Age were found on the surface. The mound appears in the Elazig Culture Inventory which was achieved after the surveys organized by the Elazig Province Culture and Tourism Directorship in 2009. It is close to the center of Yazikonak and it lies within the residential area. The mound is 10 m in height. The collected sherds from the surface are approximately dated to 1st and 2nd millennium BC.
