The inscription, which was carved into a bedrock, 30 km west of the Malazgirt District in Muş is from the Menua Period. It reads; "Menua, son of Ishpuini, opened this canal with the might of (the god) Haldi. Its name is the Menua Canal. It runs to the Menua Valley, to the city of Ulis, city of ... (). Menua is the great king, king of the lands of Biainili, lord of the city of Tushpa by the might of (the god) Haldi." |
