It lies within the Senyurt Subdistrict of the Central District in Tokat, and it is locally known as Ali Tepesi. The site of Ali Tepesi, 2 km north of Uçgözen should have been Uçgözen referred in the records of G.E.S. Durbin because no settlement other than Ali Tepesi was identified closer to Uçgözen during the surveys in the vicinity. The base diameter is ca. 125 m, and the height is around 35 m, and as it looks like a tumulus, it has been almost truncated into half, and flattened as an airdrome. The flattened section reaches down to the virgin soil, which yielded oualified, painted and monochrome Phrygian sherds as well as sherds from the Hellenistic and Roman Periods on the skirts of the hill. Also found are sherds from the Chalcolithic Age and Early Bronze Age settlements which were exposed due to destructions on the southern and southwestern sections of the hill.
