It is located within the borders of the Baris Village, 13 km southwest of the Baskale District, 118 km far from Van. The waters in the Lower Kelekom reservoir are filled with waters conveyed from the floodgate to the south of the Upper Kelekom reservoir via a channel. It has a roughly elliptical plan, larger than the Upper Kelekom reservoir. The wall encloses the inclining section of the reservoir to the southeast. The wall is ca. 4-6 m wide. The reservoir has been filled with earth, which also covered the walls. As the reservoir has been used as a filed for many years, the wall has been mostly destroyed. The large stones constituting the walls are of calcerous blocks. The location of the floodgate is uncertain. But according to the local people, it is on the southern section of the reservoir. It was built during the 7th century BC.
