It lies between the Yücebelen Fortress and the Bardik Fortress, 5 km south of the Yücebelen Village, 26 km southwest of the Kemah District in Erzincan. The Kale Stream, passing through the skirts of the Yücebelen Fortress was interrupted by this reservoir before reaching to the Bardik Fortress. The limits can be defined although it has been entirely filled with soil. The Bekçayir reservoir and both of the above mentioned fortresses are dated to the Iron Age (Urartu Period). |
