| It lies in the village of Eroglu; 9-10 km north of Kiziltepe; southwest of Mardin Province. It is located on the western bank of the Zergan Stream in the valley of the Zergan Çayi. In a close position to eastern slope of the mound Gümüs Stream passes. It was discovered during a survey conducted in the Valley of Zergan Çayi by the Girnavaz excavation team in 1991-1992. Among the sherds collected from the surface; there are metallic ware dating from the Earlier Dynasty II-III [Ay 1993:pl.XLVIII/313-319; XLIX/323-325; L/327-328; 332-333; LI/335]. Sherds of glass; bowls and jugs are remarkable. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
