It lies approximately 1.5 km northeast of the Dönekse Village to the immediate east of the Niksar-Tokat motorway in the Niksar District of Tokat. It was discovered in 1955 by C.A. Burney. It is located on the hilltop of a steep and rocky elevation. Sherds dating to the 2nd Millennium BC, Iron Age, Hellenistic-Roman, Byzantine and Seljuck Periods were collected from the upper sections of the slopes near the summit. |
