It was surveyed by Ökse et al. within the scope of the 2008 Ilisu Dam Construction Site Survey. As it is the case in other Early Iron Age centers the sherds that were collected here were also handmade, coarse, baked under low temperatures, some contain horizontal flute decorations and they rarely have chisel decorations and perforation decorations which are similar to the groups found at Upper Euphrates and Upper Tigris regions that date to 1200-900 BC. Besides Early Iron Age there are materials of Late Chalcolithic Age, MBA, Hellenistic and Roman material [Ökse et al. 2010:335, 342]. |
