It is situated west of the village with the same name in Patnos Plain of Van. The fortress is on a high rocky hill which is in peninsula form, formed by Bagdisan River that encompasses all its three sides. It has a rectangular plan and measures 100x70 m. Semi touched stones were used in the construction of the fortress walls, and their height can be observed up to 1.7 m. There are no remains related with internal structures. The cemetery is on the slope across from the river, inside the village and Bagdisan Brook valley. The grave room was destroyed through illicit diggings, has a rectangular plan and the walls were composed through masonry. Coded M68/16 [Özfirat 2009:250-251]. |
