Inundated by the Dam; the 6 m high mound lies northeast of Adiyaman; 2 km southwest of Karaltilbe; near the bank of Euphrates; on a natural elevation. The diameter of the cone measures 35 m while the general diameter measures 60 m. The hillside towards Euphrates is steeper. The site was discovered during the Lower Euphrates Survey in 1977. Early Chalcolithic Age (Halaf Period); Late Chalcolithic Age (Uruk Period) and EBA finds were found on the surface. It was revisited during 1985-88 and surface collecting was again conducted [Blaylock et al.1990:89]. The location code of the site is T 52 / 20.
