This site is in the Kapıkaya Village which is 26 km West of Tortum Suburb of Erzurum City. The fort is 2 km North of the village with Kapıkaya pond in the South as well as Kapıkaya Fort 1 in the Southeast. It was documented in 2009 during a survey by Y. Topaloğlu. The walls of the fort are completely destructed. Fort is built by the dry wall technique using rough medium size stones. The fort had two walls; the second wall has almost completely vanished. The potteries obtained in the survey belong to late Chalcolithic, EBA, Early and Middle Iron Age [Topaloğlu et al. 2011:3-4].
