This site is in the centre of Esentepe (Liz) County through the East side of the county on the Muş-Bulanık Highway which is 24 km Southwest of Bulanık Suburb of Muş City. It is documented during the survey carried out by Biber-Çavuşoğlu in 2009. Its altitude is 1,488 m. The round planned mound has a diameter of 285 metres. Liz Creek surrounds its South and East which then pours to Alpaslan 1 Water Reservoir. While the West side of the mound is flat its East side is fairly steep and 43 m high. No architectural remains are seen on the mound, but some remains of walls are encountered in the cross-sections caused by destruction. And many pieces of pottery from EBA, MBA, EIA, MIA and MA are encountered on and around the mound. The site is registered by the decision of Erzurum K. and T.V.K.B.K. dated 27.06.1990 numbered 246 [Biber-Çavuşoğlu 2011: 212]. |
