It is located 2 km west of Akbayir Town and Akbayir mound in Elbistan District of Kahramanmaras. It was found during the survey performed by Konyar and his team in 2010. Large stone wall remains, mud-walls and mud-wall fills have been seen. The collected material from the mound show similarity with the ones found in the vicinity and the other mounds. There are Late Chalcolithic painted wares, Early Transcaucasian EBA dark-faced wares and EBA slipped and painted wares. One stone stamp seal with a string-hole found in an area which has been destroyed on the mound shows Late Chalcolithic and EBA characteristics [Konyar et al. 2012:37]. |
