It is located south of the region called Karadag, about 1 km southwest of Camili Village in Merkez District of Aksaray. It was discovered during the survey performed by Doksanalti and his team in 2010. The settlement was founded at the highest point of Karadag which overlooks the Black Sea on the north and the valley called Indibi on the south. A rock altar with stairs lies on a slope covered with rocks on the northeast section of the settlement. It was carved into the bedrock. On the southwest and west of the altar, two pits which were carved into the bedrock have been seen. Besides the quadrangular pits, there are some rounded pits of various sizes scattered around which were carved into the bedrock. These pits probably were used for purification or offering purposes. It was suggested that these pits could be related to Rock-Kybele cult or open-air sanctuaries. In the western slope of the settlement, about 5 m long and 0.70 m wide a channel system carved into the bedrock, which is thought to be a tailrace, has been discovered. Begins from the northern slope of the settlement and extends towards south, a wall remains which is 11 m long and 1.20 m thick has been found. According to potsherds, this settlement was founded in IA but it has been inhabited until Late Antiquity due to its strategic location [Doksanaltı et al. 2012:127-128].
