It lies on the skirts of the steep rock, near Zamanti River, about 2.2 km south of Asagi Sögütlü Village in Pinarbasi District of Kayseri Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by Kulakoglu and his team in 2010. It is believed that this is a Roman settlement. Potsherds and pieces of glass belonging to Roman Period were found. Also, the stones with reliefs were recovered. A sarcophagus carved into bedrock was found on the rocky area [Kulakoglu et al. 2012:225]. |
