It is located near the motorway which lies on a slightly sloping farming field in Çatalcesme Mevkii; Hocabeyli Village in Ortaköy District of Aksaray Province. The settlement appears in the Aksaray Culture Inventory which was achieved after the surveys organized by the Aksaray Province Culture and Tourism Directorship in 2009. The mound is 150 m in diameter and 25 m in height. The mound is called Dede Tepe by local people and there is fountain near it. The mound 80 m high above the motorway and it covers an area of approximately 1500 m. The collected potsherds from the surface are dated to EBA, Assyrian Trading Colony Period, Phrygian, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine Periods. It was visited during the survey conducted by Tekocak in 2011 [Tekocak 2013:122].
