It stands on a mound used as a threshing field by the Biyikli villagers; 3 km away from the Sinop-Ayancik motorway; north-northwest of Erfelek; west-southwest of Sinop Province. It is a big mound; 150x30 m in dimensions. It was discovered during the Sinop Survey conducted by M.A. Isin in 1987 and between 1989-1990. According to the researcher; sherds of the Late Chalcolithic and the EBA were collected from the surface. The pottery is red; brown; beige and black colored and grit; plant and shell tempered. Tureens; jugs with out-turning rims; footed vessels and shouldered bowls are the common forms. Sherd of a round and lugged jug resembles the EBA-MBA forms. Majority of pottery is from the EBA.
