The site, located southwest of Silopi east of Dicle; was discovered during the Surveys of Cizre-Silopi conducted by G. Algaze as a part of Southeastern Anatolia Project. It is a conical mound which is located immediate east of Mehmedi (Ince) Village in Cizre District. It measures 25 m in E-W direction and 40 m in N-S direction. It is about 5 m in height. Chalcolithic, EBA and Late BA sherds were seen on the surface [Algaze et al. 2012:61]. |
