The site, located southwest of Silopi east of Dicle; was discovered during the Surveys of Cizre-Silopi conducted by G. Algaze as a part of Southeastern Anatolia Project. It lies in the area where Nerdü Creek and Dicle intersect; about 1 km east of Revini Village in Silopi District. It measures 100 m in E-W direction and 160 m in N-S direction. It is about 2 m in height. On the surface, Late Chalcolithic and EBA potsherds were seen on both sides of the road [Algaze et al. 2012:61]. |
