It lies close to Alakir Village; about 20 km southeast of Bigadic District; south of Balikesir Province. To its northwest is the Kozlu plain and to the north Alacakli village. It was discovered in 1949 by K. Kökten. Presence of a flat settlement is reported. It probably belongs to the Yortan Culture. No further information is provided about Alakir. Further investigation is necessary. It has not been clearly indicated whether the flat settlement dates from the EBA or not. |
