The site, located southwest of Silopi east of Dicle; was discovered during the Surveys of Cizre-Silopi conducted by G. Algaze as a part of Southeastern Anatolia Project. It is located about 2.2 km south of Ortaköy Village in Silopi District. It measures 215 in N-S and 240 m in E-W. It is about 2-3 m in height. Potsherds belonging to Halaf and Ubaid periods, MBA, IA and Hellenistic Period were seen on the surface. |
