The site, located southwest of Silopi east of Dicle; was discovered during the Surveys of Cizre-Silopi conducted by G. Algaze as a part of Southeastern Anatolia Project. It is located about 600 m southeast of Girik Bedro (Çiftlikköy) Village in Silopi District. It is 230 m in diameter and about 6 m in height. Potsherds belonging to Ubaid period, the Late Chalcolithic transition period, IA and Hellenistic Period were seen on the surface [Algaze et al. 2012:67]. |
