The site, located southwest of Silopi east of Dicle; was discovered during the Surveys of Cizre-Silopi conducted by G. Algaze as a part of Southeastern Anatolia Project. It is located about 2 km S-SW of Bugdayli (Takyan) Village in Silopi District. It measures 160 m in N-S and 300 m in E-W. It is about 4.5 m in height. Potsherds belonging to Halaf and Ubaid periods, EBA, LBA, IA and Hellenistic Period were seen on the surface [Algaze et al. 2012:67]. |
