The site, located southwest of Silopi east of Dicle; was discovered during the Surveys of Cizre-Silopi conducted by G. Algaze as a part of Southeastern Anatolia Project. It is located about 200 m south of Nervan Mound in Kavalli Village in Silopi District. Potsherds belonging to Early Halaf Period were seen on the surface [Algaze et al. 2012:69].
