It is located 1750 m southeast of Asagi Kicik Village in Malazgirt District of Mus Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by Biber-Çavusoglu in 2011. The mound extends in the east-west direction and descends from east to west. The north section is slightly sloping; south section is steep. The west part is narrow while the east part is wide. This oval shaped mound measures 150x225 m. Traces of a single row of city wall can be seen on the skirts. There is a wall erected with medium sized unworked stones on the north and east of the mound cone. The wall is 0.90 m wide. Potsherds dated to IA were encountered on the surface [Biber-Çavusoglu 2013:307]. |
