It lies 3 km south of the Merzifon-Gümüshaciköy motorway at 8th km; west of Merzifon District; northwest of Amasya Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by S. Dönmez in 1998. It stands on a natural hill. It measures 25 m in height and 150x120 m in dimensions. Materials dating from the EBA; MBA; LBA as well as the Iron Age; the Hellenistic and Roman Periods were collected from the surface. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
