The area (also named as Area no.4), which was discovered during the survey conducted by M. Kartal and his team in 2013, is located in the woodlands in the east of Egreltilibayir Quarter in Arifaga Village in Kaynarca District of Sakarya Province. In this area, the sections left behind the pipe excavation of Melen Stream Project providing water to Istanbul are located. In the area containing red colored sand dunes, especially the sections located in the south the pipeline, Palaeolithic (probably Late Lower Palaeolithic and Middle Palaeolithic) chipped stone finds were discovered. These finds concentrated on the cracks that were washed by rainwater. There are Levallois cores and various flints among these finds. In addition, more qualified raw material flint blocks were seen [Kartal et al. 2015:12-13].
