It lies next to the Inbat Stream; south of Erbaa District; south of Tokat Province. It stands on an outcrop extending to the stream; 400 m northwest of Cemetery of the Dere Quarter of Horoztepe. It is a small mound [Özgüç-Akok 1958:plan 1]. During the surface collection; materials of the EBA and the second millennium BC were recovered. The cemetery of Dere Quarter has been named after this mound. It is claimed that people buried at this cemetery were not inhabitants of this settlement (See Cemetery of Dere Quarter). It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
