During the survey carried out by B. Düring and his team within the scope of Cide Archaeological Project, a small number of prehistoric chipped stone finds were found in Abdülkadir Valley. There are flint retouched arrowheads and a backed blade. Three retouched points share similarity to the ones found in Çatalhöyük, Tepecik-Çiftlik and Köskhöyük belonging to the 7th and 6th millennium BC. Similar tools were found in Ikiztepe, which is located in the region, as well [Düring-Klinkenberg 2015]. |
