It is located 450 m east-southeast of Çavusköy, 6 km east of Malkara District of Tekirdag Province. The majority of the artifacts are made on quartzite. The production concentrated on choppers. The majority of quartzites are similar to those found in Yatak in terms of morphology and mineralogy. However, any chopping tools were not found in any site other than Yatak. Like Yatak, bipolar (hammer-on-anvil) debitage on quartz pebbles is present at Balitepe [Slimak-Dinçer 2007b]. |
