It is situated just in the village of Ambar; in the district of Ayranci; Karaman province. On the west side of the mound; passes the Ambar-Kavuklar village road. Its height is c. 10 m and on the southern part some stone walls can be seen. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It was visited during the survey conducted by H. Bahar and his team. The area in which the mound is located is Sidemara / Sidamara ancient city. In Bahar's report, the mound was mentioned as Ambar / Sidemara Höyük. Potsherds found around the area are dated to EBA, IA, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods [Bahar 2014:262].
