It locates in the plain, at the junction of Kisik and Alanyurt villages, in Höyük Mevkii, 1 km north of Hisar Village, in the immediate south of the Izmir-Usak motorway, near the provincial border of Manisa, in the west of Usak Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by H. Oy and his team in 2014. The mound measuring 100x50 m extends in the north-south direction. It is 3 m high. However, it is steadily declining due to agricultural activities. EBA and Roman wares were found. Among the EBA wares, handmade, red and black slipped vessels, knobbed vessels, and lugs with vertical decoration, foot sherds, and stone axes. It is believed that it is in connection with Asartepe Höyük [Oy 2016:507-8]. |
