It locates on the rocky area, on the southwest slope of a natural hill, about 8 km north of Tepeköy Village, in Alucra District of Giresun Province. It was discovered during the survey conducted by S. Kaymakçi and his team in 2015. It measures 10x10 m. Late Chalcolithic, EBA and 2nd millennium BC sherds and a few Hellenistic-Roman sherds were found in the illicit digging soil. Some of the EBA sherds belong to Kura-Araxes culture. A large number of slags were determined on the hill opposite the settlement called Koç Kalesi (Koç Castle) [Kaymakçi 2017:75-6]. |
