There are rock-cut graves in Akyarlar Village, in Turgutreis Town of Bodrum District, in Mugla Province. Chamber graves with triangular pediment, vessel type graves with clear slot traces for the lid, chamber graves with niches, and hypogea were found in the region. The grave in the type of a double hypogeum has a roof with pyramidal stairs. There are 3 cist graves located side-by-side and carved into the bedrock. Traces of lid are visible on the graves. The slot traces for the lid are apparent on the vessel type grave found in Igre Tepe Mevkii. There are 2 round pits with a diameter of 50 cm, used for libation, in the east of the grave. It is registered in the Cultural Inventory of Mugla Province [Mugla KE III.1 2013:465-9]. |
