Dulkadiroglu Geçit Höyük is located at Ekberoglu Quarter of Dulkadiroglu district, Kahramanmaras province. The mound is located at a 514 m altitude and it covers an area of approximately 28632 square-meters [Dumankaya et. al. 2018: 475]. Mound is dated to the Late Chalcolithic Period, the Early-Middle Bronze Age and the Iron Age [Dumankaya et. al. 2018: 476]. Pottery from Dulkadiroglu Geçit Höyük is classified in four distinct groups by their period and colors. The first group is the wheel-made pale gray non-coated and non-burnished pottery that is dated to the Assyrian Trade Colony Period or the Early Hittite Period It is believed that this group had replaced the hand-made Early Bronze Age pottery. Similar pottery had been uncovered within the region comes from Karacaören, Çebikçil and Tudegin Höyük. The second group is defined as the Early Bronze Age red-orange ware that is thought be in continuos use since the Late Chalcolithic Period. The third group consists of the light-brown coated plain simple ware. Lastly, there exists a group of pottery with black or dark-red bands and geometric decorations on cream-coating. This group dates to the Iron Age and similar pottery had been found at Karahöyük and Yassihöyük [Dumankaya et. al. 2018: 475].
