It is located on the northern bank of the Euphrates; 26 km north of Malatya; within the territory of Baskil District; southwest of Elazig Province. It was established on a Pliocene Period rock; right accross the place where the Tohma Stream joins the Euphrates. It is an oval mound. It is 38 m higher than the basin of the Euphrates whereas 20 m higher than the land. It has steep slopes on the north and west. It was excavated from 1981 by V. Sevin until it was flooded by the Dam. Actually; the site had been inhabited on a larger area averaging 150x200 m in dimensions. It is one of the rare places having easy access through the Euphrates. The EBA occupation has been attested on the southern slope and terrace of the mound.
Location: It is located on the northwestern edge of the Imikusagi (Malhasan) Village in the Baskil District of Elazig.
Geography and Environment: Situated on the eastern bank of the Euphrates, it lies across the confluence of the Tahma Brook with the Euphrates. It is suitable for crossing over, and it was also probably for this purpose during the ancient period.
