It is located in a valley; east of Kapaklar Village; 13.5 km east of Usak Province. It is situated on the southern bank of a stream. The surface collection carried out by J. Mellaart yielded EBA II pottery. It was visited during the survey conducted by H. Oy and his team in 2013. Along with EBA pottery, Roman wares were also seen on the surface of the mound. EBA findings consist of handmade, red, brown and gray burnished vessels, fragments of footed vessels, veritacal and horizontal lugs, flintstone tools and flakes. These findings show similarities with the ones found in Beycesultan [Oy 2015:222]. |
