The site; inundated by Karakaya Dam; used to lie north-northwest of Malatya; 2 km southeast of Mamaar village; north of the junction of Euphrates and Karababa stream; near the bank of Euphrates. It was discovered by M. Özdogan and his team in 1977. Due to the distribution of the pottery; the site covers an area of 130x180 m. It was thought as a flat settlement because erosion had caused the deposit of the mound vanish. The location code of the site is O 50 / 20. |
