The mound lies northwest of Malatya; north-northeast of Hekimhan. It was discovered by C.A. Burney in 1956 and Late Chalcolithic Age sherds were collected from the surface. A well-fired buff colored sherd with matte-red paint decorated on the exterior; possibly of the Chalcolithic Age. Asagi Sazlica probably dates to the 9th phase in ASPRO. |
