The site lies within Siirt province; 500 m south of Çalidüzü village; beside the Batman-Kurtalan highway; south of the railway to Kurtalan. It is 100 m in diameter regarding the dispersion of the finds on the northern and eastern skirts. The site is discovered in 1963 during the University of Istanbul and Chicago Oriental Institute joint survey. Finds dating back to Halaf Period; Halaf-Ubaid Transition Period; Amuq F-G and I-J; Byzantine and Islamic periods are collected from the surface. |
